drewvis
I'm having a couple of issues using the desktop version of Designer. First up, Use fill and the pencil tool. When drawing shapes with use fill switched on, I'm finding that I'm getting little glitches as I draw whereby it actually affects the line, so for example if I drew a circle freehand, you'd see little kinks in the shape rather than a smooth shape, and sometimes if I draw fast, it's like the use fill is trying to keep up with my stroke and glitches more. I'm using a Cintiq 27QHD, and a Win10 16GBRAM, GTX950 gfx card. Also, if I draw lines with the pencil tool or brush, they are crazy wonky! The only way for me to draw lines without them being terrible is by using the pen tool, but this isn't really what I want to do as I want the loose freedom of the pencil or brush tools. I've also experienced a few random crashes, but unsure what has caused them so far. Any thoughts?
Staff DWright Posted July 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 24, 2018 You can use the Stabiliser option in the pencil context toolbar and this will allow you to draw smoother freehand lines
drewvis
Thanks, I forgot to mention it happens even when I use the stabilizer. Not quite as much with the window stabilizer, but still happens.
Staff DWright Posted July 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 24, 2018 Have you tried shortening the rope length and slowing down the input speed
drewvis
Shortened the rope, is the input speed a setting or do you mean to slow down when I'm doing it?
