Hi Anthonyricco, welcome to the Affinity forums!

The two apps do require separate purchases.

Thanks

Hi Steven, is that going to change anytime soon, obviously I'm sure most people need it on both Mac and iPad if they are using the iPad, why 2 charges.

I'm also having a problem with the pricing in South Africa, if I use the $ pricing and convert to Rand it works out to R660 but the prices on the SA stores come out to R770 which is R100 more expensive.

Really want to get onto Affinity but the pricing is a hinderance here as I still need my Adobe Subscription till Affinity bring out a competitor for InDesign and Photoshop.

Please let me know if there is anything you can do.

Thanks

The two versions are sold through two different app stores. If you’re quick, you can take advantage of the current 30% discount and purchase both apps for very little more than the usual price of the desktop version.

The prices are set by Apple. The differences from straightforward exchange rates reflect the cost of doing business in various countries around the world.

Hi Anthonyricco,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The Mac and iPad versions do have a few differences in particular their interfaces which were developed specifically for the type of device/computer they run on. The license for each platform is intended to cover the development costs associated with those differences.

The prices on the App Store don't reflect a direct exchange/conversion between currencies but different tiers Apple has set for different countries.
