Tobiosen
Hey all together, im new here, and my english isn´t that good. I just bought the software Affinity Photo for Windows and installed it. Tried to open my RAW files, but i can`t. I have the new Fujifilm X-T100, saving JPEG+RAW File with every Picture. The ending of the RAW file is: .raf. But when i try to open it in Affinity Photo, everytime it say: The FIle type is not supported. Can u guys help me maybe?
Staff Gabe Posted July 21, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2018 Hi @Tobiosen, Welcome to the forums. We do not currently support the new Fujifilm X-T100. We hope to support mode cameras in future updates, but we have no ETA for this model. In the meantime, you can use the jpeg files and it will be fine. Sorry Thanks, Gabe. k410
Hi, Tobiosen I think most photo apps do not support RAW from the X-T100 yet, because it was released just a month or so ago. [Adobe Camera Raw has just added support (it's included with the Lightroom/Photoshop and CC subscriptions), but I understand that many people here have decided not to have an Adobe subscription.] One option for now is to use Iridient's X-Transformer (about $30 usd) to convert those RAW files into the DNG format, which most current photo apps (including Affinity Photo) should be able to open. Edit: I'm not an expert -- I was recently researching this myself because I have also just bought an X-T100. It's my first pro-level camera, and I'm excited! However, the latest (10.4) version of Adobe's free Adobe DNG Converter does apparently support the X-T100 (according to the info on this web page) & Affinity Photo supports RAW files in the DNG format. You can download the Windows version of the app at http://www.adobe.com/go/dng_converter_win/ & see how well converted RAF files from the X-T100 work with Affinity Photo's Develop Persona. k410 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
