Live sync between Desktop & iPad

Recommended Posts

It would be really cool if there was like a "Wacom tablet" mode for people with both the Desktop and iPad versions of Affinity Designer and/or Affinity Photo. So if you had a file open on Desktop, and you connected your iPad to your computer, it could prompt to open the file in the iPad version of the app, and you could make live edits that would immediately be reflected back on the desktop (without having to save and reopen). This would be great for when you need to move from desktop to iPad in order to draw something with your Apple Pencil, or just as an extra screen. Apps like Duet and Astropad do this, but with Affinity finally having a true cross platform design ecosystem, I would love to see this feature integrated in future versions.

I believe in MacOS Catalina there is a feature called Sidecar, this may be what you are looking for.  It allows you to connect you iPad to your iMac/MacBookPro and utilize the Mac and it's processor while working with the file on iPad much like a Wacom Tablet.  Dig into some youtube videos on SIDECAR and see if this helps.
