macdonag
As suggested in another post, here's a feature request. In Export Persona, I can export slices to PNG, TIFF, etc. But not SVG. Could support for exporting slices to SVG be added? This would be very useful for me! Thanks, Graham dangerman2000
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted August 10, 2014 Staff Share Posted August 10, 2014 I see no reason why not - we'll have a look.. AndyS
000
While you're on it, could you add PDF too, please? One of my usage cases is that I do have a couple of logo variations for a client (e.g. black and white, CMYK, RGB and grayscale or with and without marketing claim) on one big sheet. If I could export all those logos (as slices) at once, that'd be a MASSIVE time saver compared to exporting them one by one and renaming the files manually. Staff Andy Somerfield Posted October 5, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 5, 2014 I think it's just as easy to do both at once - so yes! AndyS lexislav
wacheski
The lack of SVG export prevents me from using AD. Exporting slices as SVG will enable AD to be used for creating vector/icon fonts. I am currently using iDraw to export hundreds of icons to SVG files and then icomoon.io to create font files and supporting css. These can easily be used on Web pages and in Applications and simplifies asset management providing fully scalable and modifiable art. Icon Fonts are very popular and extremely useful for web/app designers. http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ https://icomoon.io http://fontello.com The first step is per icon SVG export. Apple recommends using PDF for some icons as well. A Font Designer Persona would be a next step.

Staff MEB Posted December 14, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 14, 2015 Hi Pablo Petzen, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can already export slices to SVG and PDF in Affinity Designer/Photo 1.4. Viggo Danielsen
You can already export slices to SVG and PDF in Affinity Designer/Photo 1.4. Hi, I'm using AD 1.4.1, selecting SVG (for web) preset in the Export Option in Export Persona - and it exports to PNG, not SVG. Is slice SVG export really implemented in 1.4.1? Dave Harris
Hi, Viggo, welcome to the forums. I just tested SVG export and it did work in 1.4.1. Is it possible you didn't change the preset for the slice you were exporting?
dangerman2000
Hi can someone explain how to export slices to SVG? Here is what I am trying: I have a bunch of slices > I go to Export Options panel and select SVG (for web) > Then I select all my slices (checkboxes) and press the button called "Export Selected" ... it then generates a bunch of .png files. What am I missing? Thanks for your help. I'm using AD 1.4.2.
dangerman2000
... Nevermind. I discovered the Export Options are not global options but you have to define per slice. Grrrr.... Makes sense though. barbarerik
Tomy
Select "file format: SVG" in Export Options, then is nothing selected in "export preset: ... in Slices (option), and then klick to export slices... will be exported in SVG format.. But I have AD2 2.0.4 now... screen.afphoto Komatös
