276ccm
I’m not really sure what it’s for, but trying to learn AD on iPad Pro.. it’s super fun! Scrolls are drawn in Procreate, but I’ll try to do them again in AD. I think that can be a good learning curve.. Any feedback is welcome :-) stokerg, MEB, Simple logic designs and 2 others

276ccm
Thank you! :-) Love doing these acanthus scrollwork, mostly for designing metal engraving motifs, but I also like to try these vintage motifs/poster or maybe it will become a glass gilded piece.. :-) anywat, I see I was a little carried away yesterday, and I think this looks better flat, so I worked a little more on it.. just to try to learn :-) Also played a little with masking layers :-) better? stokerg and MEB

Bryce
Is the scroll work vector and how did you make it? 276ccm

In the two first pictures, the scrolls is not vector, but made a new vector layer, and drawing all the outlines in this moment.. will post some pictures later. At the pictures above, all the scrollwork is hand drawn in Procreate. :-) Ill try to post some pictures and video later :-)
276ccm
I’m not sure if this will clearify a little.. having a a little trouble getting some pints sharp tho, but I might do something wrong and still learning :-) 53A9BC6D-7ECA-41B2-B3C9-08AE49F56122.MP4
276ccm
And suddenly all the outlining are vectorized.. :-) Just testing with some different styles.. we’ll see where it ends.. after some adjustments of the scrolls, I’ll do the shadowing in vector too :-) fun fun fun :-) StuartRc
gdenby
Great work. I've spent many many hours making vector Acanthus, and it was some of the 1st things I did when I started w. Designer. I appreciate how you show the development of the work into complete vector. Affinity's line pressure for strokes makes many lines so easy. 276ccm 1 Quote iMac 27" Retina, c. 2015: OS X 10.11.5: 3.3 GHz I c-5: 32 Gb, AMD Radeon R9 M290 2048 Mb iPad 12.9" Retina, iOS 10, 512 Gb, Apple pencil Huion WH1409 tablet
