I'm aware of the font Chartwell - but one of the few lacking tools in Affinity Designer that could justify me leaving Illustrator permanently is a Charting/Graphing tool.  Illustrator's is so out-of-date and difficult to use, that introducing this tool to the Affinity apps with Affinity's lens of usability would squash any reasoning to use Adobe's tool.

Totally agree with this request. A Charting /Graphic tool, in Designer or Publisher— or even its own app— would be a very incredible addition to the Affinity suite.
There's a big need for easy-to-use Data visualization tools and AI charting tool is old and clunky.

For now, I import vector charts from Excel, Numbers and  https://rawgraphs.io into Designer, but a dedicated Affinity tool would be a dream come true.

I also agree that a Charting/Graphing tool is much needed. I too am stuck using outdated Illustrator features because nothing better exists for creating custom, editable charts and graphs for reports and white papers, etc. As it is for many others, this causes me to remain tethered to Adobe. Ugh!
