UI Adjustment Questions (Designer)

Recommended Posts

I'm really enjoying learning Designer on the iPad! I have three things I wonder if there are adjustments for:

1. Can the background for a new document be made grayer or at least not so bright white?

2. Can the snap to grid lines be made darker? In a bright environment they are kind of hard o see?

3. Same thing with Art Boards. Can the be made gray or even a different color?

I'm guessing as a new user I may be missing the obvious and if so please point me in the right direction to obtain that information

Thanks,  Richard

Hi @rrkpl,

Welcome to the forums.

You can change the colour of the background by going to the main screen of the app > Settings > Interface > Background gray level . Bear in mind this only work on documents without an artboard.

As for the other 2, you cannot change them. We logged an improvement request to add a new slider for artboards background.

Thanks,

Gabe.

Hi Gabe,

Thanks for the reply! Possibly I'm still not getting this :-P...   I've included 2 screenshots of the iPad Designer UI one with Gray at 0% the other with Gray at 100% but not seeing any difference in the work surface. The open file is a newly created file with no art board and was hoping for a way to make the working space other than bright white.

Thanks, Richard
