PrinceVultan
Hi, I have recently purchased AP and downloaded it onto my laptop, but when I use it, it is slow and blocky. I am using it on a windows laptop Dell xps 15 with 16GB ram, i7 processor and there isn't a great deal on the laptop at all. Any ideas if there is anything I can do to make it work smoothly. Thanks in advance
firstdefence
Take a look in preferences On the performance tab, Display: should be set to OpenGL on Windows, I'm on Mac so I may be slightly off on that but I'm sure that's right. Under Win 10 I don't see a Display option anywhere! Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10

Staff Dan C Posted July 16, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 16, 2018 Hi PrinceVultan, Welcome to the forums Is the slow/blocky issue only appearing when working in one specific document, or across any image edits? I see no issues with your spec laptop, are your graphics drivers up to date? Please check this list and ensure none of this software is running in the background. Your software may need re-setting to defaults, you can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. firstdefence 1 Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.
