Affinity Photo Customer Beta - 1.6.5.119

Recommended Posts

Hi,

when I have AP open with multiple files, I can easily get it to be stuck and unable to do anything. This is done simply by working with it, esp. with patch tool.

Hi @ all,

I´m not sure, but i think i found a bug wich is in Develp Persona and also in Photo Persona. It´s when i use the "golden Spiral" or one off the other tools from this dropdown menu.
It´s not possible to flip the golden Spiral from the left to the right side and rotating with the "rotate" button gives me only two directions, left and top. It´s nott possible to change the directions but what when i need it on the right side? See screenshots below please.

I tried to change the side by rotating manually, but igf i want to do this, i rotate the image, not the spiral.

So far as i know the spiral has 4 directions to use, top-left,  top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right or am i wrong? And is it ok that i rotate the image instaed of the grids or the spiral?
It´s not possible to flip it to the other side or is there something in the settings to do what i don´t know or rahter what i not found.

And what i have noticed....
In Photo Persona there´s a Reset-Button for the grid, but in Develop Persona not. Is there a Reason for this?

Hello Uwe,
try the key combination schift + o, then the spiral should turn.

Cheers

Is this how it's supposed to look if no file is open? I mean the two circles.

Yup, how would you have it look with no file open?

Why would the left circle have another inside of?

Because of what it represents when you do have a document open... the fill on the line/stroke. It represents a line around the filled circle, hence it's hollow to distinguish it from the fill on the circle. Am I missing something?

I don't see any inner circle on the left side, just a solid fill. Thou I may be missing something.

This is a topic about Affinity Photo, but your original screenshot

looks like it came from Affinity Designer's Draw Persona.

I can assure you it's AP, not AD :)

OK, but here's what I have in Affinity Photo with no documents open:

and here's what I have in Affinity Designer Draw Persona with no documents open:

That concentric circle in the Designer one matches what you showed us.

(With a bit of playing around I haven't found a way to get Photo to show the concentric circle. I may be missing something obvious, of course, which gives me the opportunity to learn when someone tells me what I've missed. :)

Got it.

Open image, go to export persona, close the image.

Interesting. Thanks. Unless someone can explain some legitimate reason why Photo would ever show that version I think you've found a bug.

I'll be honest guys. I can have square icon there when no document is open. Or star icon. Or little piggy arse with cute curly tail icon there. Or - take this - no icon at all. Because NO DOCUMENT IS OPENED so it doesn't matter whats there. All UI elements at this point could be replaced by two buttons - OPEN and NEW.

I think it´s a little bug. When i open Designer it shows me the symbols without the inner circle. I have the darken surface as Standart.
If i switch in the settings to the lighten surface, ist shows the symbol with the inner circle and if i switch back to darken, the symbol with the inner circle stays.
I close and start the Programm again and then the symbol without the inner circle is back.
Tested with Designer Beta 1.6.5.119
The same is in the current Version 1.6.4.104

But here is not the right place to discus it. That´s something for the Board Desinger Beta. So if a Mod reads this post, please move it to the right Board if it´s important.
Thanks :)

Have a nice day.
Ich wünsche einen schönen Tag.
