BloodC
Hi I'm a Newbie and just stating out with Affinity Photo so please excuse my lack of knowledge. I am using Windows 10 and have version 1.6.4.104. Quite often when I select a function the dialogue box isn't displayed. As an example I select "Adjustments", "Recolour" I expect to see a dialogue box that lets me change the Hue and Saturation but instead I get nothing. I have to close the application and reload and then try again to get anywhere and sometimes this doesn't work. I also find that if I try opening the app on my second monitor (have 3, but is any that isn't the laptop), it doesn't size properly and the controls go off screen that results in me having to hover over the icon in the task bar and then close the app that way. Can anyone help with the lack of dialogue box and is there a way to turn this on and off in the application e.g. it doesn't appear and I can toggle it on. Really appreciate your help with this one as it is so frustrating. many thanks Chris
Staff Lee D Posted July 12, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 12, 2018 Hi Chris, Welcome to the forums. Can you download and install the current beta of Affinity Photo for Windows as this should fix the issue and allow you to use the app.
BloodC
Hi Lee Many thanks for your response. I have downloaded the Beta, do I need to uninstall the current version and re-install or will the Beta install over the top of the current version. Thanks for your help

The beta install will not interfere with your current version. You will end up having both. BloodC
Hi Walt Thanks. I will install and see hopefully it will fix the dialogue box issue and the problem with opening when you have more than one screen.
IainT
Hi, I have also had this problem. I don't get dialogue boxes at all. Do I read this correct? I have to install a beta version over my purchased version to correct this fault. Seems rather odd.
