Johan Crous
I noticed that if I make a selection or if I select a layer, everything reacts to a flip command. Is it possible to flip something selected and not everything.
Staff stokerg Posted July 11, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 11, 2018 Hi John, As you've found out, Affinity is flipping the whole layer and not the selection. Once you've made the selection, you can cut the selection by 2 finger tapping the screen and selecting Cut from the onscreen menu that appears and the same process to paste it, but selecting paste on the menu. Then with that new layer selected, you can use the flip commands on the transform panel. Alfred

Make a selection, select the Affine filter, select Mirror in the Extend Mode and drag on the X offset. It is no better than than the method suggested by @stokerg but it's something else to play with stokerg 1 Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions. Johan Crous
With the flip command, all layers flipped. I will try again.

I think the crucial detail is that you need to use the Flip commands in the Transform Studio, not the ones on the ‘Document > Orientation’ submenu.
