cadobir
It would be great to be able to quickly toggle view of adjustments on/off. In Photoshop, you can this by showing or hiding adjustment layers (or whatever). In Affinity Photo Beta, Adjustments are separate from Layers, and you have to switch palettes to toggle view. A simple n'off switch in the adjustment dialogue, or in the panel where its name resides, would be very helpful.
ronnyb
Aperture has a great keyboard toggle to show you the Master file, without any adjustments. It's a GREAT feature, just press m to turn it on, or off. it's a toggle 2021 16” Macbook Pro w/ M1 Max 10c cpu /24c gpu, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, macOS Sequoia 15.1 2018 11" iPad Pro w/ A12X cpu/gpu, 256 GB, iPadOS 18.
stubborndog
In Aperture you can easily see the image with no adjustments and ALSO toggle individual adjustments on and off. No other software I know makes it this easy to see what you're doing. Now they are discontinuing Aperture, neeglected but full of good ideas. ronnyb

ronnyb
Mike, although that's useful in some scenarios, it's not enough... we need a way to quickly toggle ALL FX and Adjustments on and off, not just Undo the last changes to said FX or Adjustments... A simple click on the History panel will take you back to the start state of the image so you don't have to worry about the adjustment layers. Staff MEB Posted March 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted March 12, 2015 Hi cadobir, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can quickly show/hide adjustments from the Layers panel. All adjustments have its own layer and can be turned on/off through its own checkbox. If you have attached an adjustment to a regular layer you can still access it clicking on the arrow on the left of the layer to expand its contents. Also, you don't need to have the Adjustments panel visible. You can add and control all of them through the Layers panel (third icon counting from the left, on the bottom of Layers panel) A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
ssq
This is fine for adjustments... but how about filters? For instance I'd like to sharpen something and then change my mind? This may be the case for making all filters into layers as well.... :)
Staff MEB Posted March 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted March 12, 2015 Andy is already working on Live filters. I'm not aware of how they will be implemented yet, but i suppose it will be possible to turn them off.
