DeeGee
Hi I upgraded last year to Affinity Designer from previously using an older version of Serif Draw Plus Starter Edition. I am wanting to access a file made in it so I can edit using Affinity Designer. Please help. I want to be able to export it as a pdf but it wont as the odl software needs an upgrade but the only upgrade is Affinity Designer, which I have done. Staff MEB Posted July 4, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 4, 2018 Hi DeeGee, Welcome to Affinity Forums Affinity Designer doesn't support .dpp files. The only way is to export the file from DrawPlus as a PDF and import it into Designer. If the DrawPlus Starter Edition doesn't support/export as PDF (or SVG which may also work for a few things) there's isn't much you can do other than maybe upgrading to DrawPlus X8 (which is now a legacy product) or asking someone to make the export for you if it's only a single document (i don't have DrawPlus here otherwise i would do it for you). Affinity Designer is not a replacement nor a direct upgrade to the old DrawPlus software. It's a new cross-platform software (for Mac, iOS and Windows) created from scratch to take advantage of the latest technologies/API's available in the latest operative systems.
