Rick G
It won't if you have a file open or if you had a file OPENED in Affinity. Also Affinity can hang onto a file even after you have closed it out. In any of those scenarios, you cannot rename the file nor it's parent folder. Windows is notorious for that too. Plan on renaming the folder (or filoe) In Windows explorer after closing Affinity or whatever product is locking the file. (Often that can be "system" I installed a small utility called "File Unlocker" which can usually unlock in these situations from the context menu. There are others and none do it perfectly although if one fails, another might work Have a look https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=cj46W4qYPJHEsAWMn5CYDQ&q=file+unlocker&oq=file+unlocker&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0l10.973.7761.0.8659.14.10.0.3.3.0.103.834.9j1.10.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..1.13.845.0..35i39k1j0i131k1j0i20i264k1j0i131i20i264k1j0i10k1.0.FF4ofEX8s5I Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
