Can a text layer be edited after saving to .psd file?

Recommended Posts

Using Affinity Photo 1.52 on my Windows 10 machine, I loaded several .psd files with a text layer.  I then select that layer, and the text has grab handles surrounding it.  I can move the text.  But I can't resize it, or edit it in any way.  I could have sworn I was able to edit a text layer previously.  Maybe you can on a Mac?

Hi zBernie,

Make sure under Preferences you have 'Import PSD text as text rather than a bitmap' enabled.  This will allow you to edit the text.  But if you export out as a PSD again, the text will be rasterised and not editable.  We currently can't write text to PSD files, but it's on the Dev teams to do list and will come in a future update.
