Changing stroke color with rightclick?

Recommended Posts

Coming from my former graphics software, I am very used to:

leftclick on a swatch changes fill color of selected object
rightclick on  a swatch changes line color of selected object

Leftclick works of course, but I have not found an easy way to change line color yet.
Is there a way to change it to the way I am used to?
Or what is the next-best way to change linecolor?

Going to the swatches pallet, switching to stroke color, then changing the color is really tiresome.

pressing X wil switch between stroke and fill color.

Thanks, that is good to know and already easier.
I still would like my known behaviour back, just left-/rightclick. Is there any way this is possible in AD?

Fingers crossed that Serif will do some work on improving the UI in forthcoming versions.

What do you mean by Named Colours?

You can make your own swatch and name the colours within it.

Or perhaps you mean Global Colours?

It seems in AD "Global Colors" are what I know as "Named Colors".
But I found it endlessly complicated to define and change them.

The whole color selection system of AD is really really bad compared to Xara Designer or Photoshop

In Xara I can create, name and change colors, strokes and fills without ever having to open or change between "Color" "Swatches" and "Stroke" or any other pallette.
I find it very, very intuitive and fast.

In AD it is way more complicated and counterintuitive.
