Selection based on tonal range - any possibility to fine tune?

Recommended Posts

In PS I often use selections based on tonal range for exposure blending and other fine corrections.

AP allows making of tone-based selections, but it offers only three ranges, which are pretty harsh and rarely hit the precise range that I need. Combining it with blending options somewhat helps, but not quite.

My question is: is it possible to edit the tonal range used for selection? And (ideally) visually - like in PS and it's luminosity masks?

Hi 1drey,

Welcome to the forums.

I'm afraid that the Tonal Range has fixed values. The only "workaround" you can try would be to select sample colour, change the "model" to intensity and adjust the tolerance accordingly.

moved to feature requests.

Thanks,

Gabe.
