TonyB has said that they'd like to support that format, but it's not likely to be in the initial release.

Best regards!

Thanks for the info.

I hope this will be possible in the futor. This make your product very strong. I have tried ist with the VIVA Designer but it did not work as it should have worked. I'm asking this because documents created in InDesign can be exported as IDML and imported into our translation system (MemoQ) the be exported and displayed in InDesign without los of information !!!!

Kind regards,

Wolfgang

Will Affinity Publisher support MathType mathematical symbols and equations?

If you are bringing in the .eps export of MT equations, APub will probably be the same as with AD...not so good.

For myself, Viva Designer Pro has worked well enough on a wider range of IDML than QXP has, especially if there are tables. But with either application, for me the layout destination is a final port of ID files, not round-tripping with MemoQ or Trados.

MemoQ takes a pretty wide file format exchange, though. If IDML isn't possible at APub's launch can you utilize Word documents and then roll the finished translated document into the layout application?
