UkeyD
Hi I’ve just created a document in Affinity Designer. The dimensions are 2.5metres by 1.7metres. When I export to PDF for print the file size comes out at about 400kb. Is this normal? I expected it to be a much bigger file size. Thanks for your help
Staff Gabe Posted June 20, 2018 Staff Share Posted June 20, 2018 Hi @UkeyD, Welcome to the forums. There is no standard guideline for size. This can be influenced by so many factors ( DPI, colour, raster/vector, etc). If your pdf looks fine, i would not be worried about it. Thanks, Gabe. UkeyD
Ok thanks. I only used vectors, no photos or rasterized images. I expect this is why it’s so small?
Staff Gabe Posted June 20, 2018 Staff Share Posted June 20, 2018 Yes. if it's just vectors, you would expect small size documents.
gdenby
Hi, UkeyD What you came across is part of the great advantage of making vector graphics. Using English measurement terms, look at the following statements: draw a line 1 inch long draw a line 1 yard long draw a line 1 mile long Each has the same number of letters, and encoding those will have a minuscule difference.
