Vince42 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I would like to specify an export path in the slices panel with the current date and time, so that I can compare different exports more easily. In the corresponding dialogue I only see the variable "slice name" in the variables list. is it possible to create a new variable or is it possible to incorporate a timestamp into the path expression? walt.farrell Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 In the path components dialog, you can choose variables to add to the path name, or you can supply your own text by typing it in directly. That would not allow automatic filling in of a date/time, but you could add it manually. Vince42 Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 Okay, so it will be manually ... would it be a good feature to create own variables and/or support some kind of timestamp pattern variables in text form? Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 You can create your own variables, in some parts of the export dialog, but I think they would have static values in the current implementation. I'm unsure, as there doesn't seem to be any documentation about them. Yes, having a timestamp capability might be nice. AdrianB Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 So, I've been looking around and found this tread, there is still no support for timestamps in export path variables, right? And it is only static values that are not shared in any way between export formats (like, you know, a variable)? Quote
