Transfer files from iTunes

Recommended Posts

Hello, good morning, everyone.
Excuse my English, it's translated.

My problem is this, I have 100 tif files that weigh about 800 MB.
I have AF on iPad as my primary photography software.
It is clear that if I synchronize these 800 MB by iCloud, I will have to wait a long time to do it. So I tried to do it through iTunes, in shared files to do it through USB and be faster. But what I add here doesn't appear on iPad. I've tried creating a project, and that folder doesn't appear. I added a single file and it doesn't show up either. I'm desperate, maybe as I write this post I would have already synchronized iCloud, but that's not the case.

What solution can you recommend for uploading large files in quantity?

I will add to this thread a question I asked a long time ago and I think it comes with the same subject.

What is the difference between AF MacOS and AF iOS?
I was told at the time that the engine is the same, but the image processing is different.
In my case, can I trust that AF iOS can give me maximum quality photos for printing? CMYK color outputs, no loss of quality at the time of export, etc....

Or will I have to buy AF MacOS?

I hope you can help me and thank you very much.

Hi Miltrin,

For large files like your Tiffs I would use an App called Photosync. https://www.photosync-app.com/ It has an companion App on Windows and Mac. (I have an Windows PC so I use this)

Do you have an Mac? Then you could use Airdrop on the iPad to transfer the files to you Mac as well. https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht203106

The IOS and MacOS of Affinity Photo are almost identical. AP on iOS gives you the same high quality output like the Desktop Version on Windows and Mac.

cheers,

Lutz

Hi, there,
First, thank you for your answer.

I know and use the Photosync App, I also use Airdrop constantly.
But I don't think it's a solution.
Both systems, although fast through Bluetooh, will synchronize with iOS Photo Apps.
Normally we all have Photos configured with iCloud, which will slow down the operation, and waste unnecessary space on iCloud Drive. And I'd like to treat the separate Photo App file.

In the AP options, it says "Open" or "Import" from the cloud, another says import from Photo App. I think there should be a way to work with and import local data from the iPad.

Your response is very good, but working with Photo App involves synchronization on all devices connected to the same ID.
Example, I now send 100 TIFF files via Airdrop from Mac to iPad. On the Mac I have them in a local folder, but they will also appear in Photo App, on iPhone anyway and I will have 100 copies on each of the devices.

I don't know what other alternative they might come up with?

Greetings to all of you,

Milton.
