Daniel Finch
I recently brought Ultimate Map Pack: Global from metgraphics.net and upon zooming in it gets distorted. The creator of these maps says it is the lack of smart-scaling in the Affinity products. Because of this I cannot zoom into the area I require. Is there a way round this/am I missing something? Please help!!
Staff Dan C Posted June 6, 2018 Staff Share Posted June 6, 2018 Hi Mark, Please see the quote below from @MEB regarding PSD smart objects. On 6/4/2017 at 1:16 PM, MEB said: No, currently Affinity isn't able to edit Photoshop Smart objects. They will be rasterised on import. PSD is a poorly documented (proprietary) format and as such third party software are not able to fully support it. We do try to provide the best support available but at this point there's still no way to work with Photoshop's smart objects in Affinity. Unfortunately as the Smart Objects are rasterised, you will see some distortion when zooming. Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
