maxen
Is there a chance to clear the memory in AP and AD? I'm working on a large file and once AD filled the RAM (36GB), it nearly stopps working. Every action takes hours, even saving to disc is a progress of more then three(!) hours (filesize 1.2 GB).
SrPx
I do use in general certain RAM cleaner (external utility), alhtough for other situation (ie, hundreds of browser tabs, some memory peak with some app, etc)... I don't think that's very effective, but, I somewhat believe those help a little the situation, to at least recover an stalled system... but not always. beware tho downloading any of those without proper check. In Windows, a lot of system optimizing tools, of any kind, have some sort of ad-aware, when not even trojans. There are some with good reputation, pretty safe. I use, as anyway I have it for other reasons, Dinio's task manager : http://dimio.altervista.org/ http://dimio.altervista.org/eng/ Works perfect in Windows 7, dunno in 8 or 10. There are as well very specific ram optimizing tools, but am not up -to-date, as I don't see this matter very reliable... One better study the situation and fix it in other ways. Quote AD, AP and APub. V1.10.6 (not using v1.x anymore) and V2.4.x. Windows 10 and Windows 11.
