I'm loving Affinity Photo as my Photoshop replacement.

I am gradually learning the tools and functions. But currently I have 2 questions.

Is there a way to adjust a single layer without affecting anything else? For example, adjust the hue or brightness. I have discovered the adjustment layers, but they affect every layer below them. If I nest the adjustment will I see the adjustment applied only to my selected layer?

Also is there anything similar to Photoshop's liquefy function where you can pull parts of the image around?

Thanks.
