AD: How to export single element from document?

Select all of th elements for the logo; grouping them might be a good idea too, the Go to File > Export...

You can't do this with certain file types but Most will.

How do I then make this usable as an element in Affinity Photo?

I have opened the SVG in AD, then saved as a jpg, but then I get a white background.

I need just the triangle to be usable as an object in Photo. 

Oh, sussed it. Literally just copy the object from AD and paste into AP.

Yes JPEG doesn't have Transparency, .afdesign documents can be opened in Affinity Photo and visa versa
