Alex mar Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 How do I get that rectangle to follow the path of the G, almost like there is a white outline around the G. Quote
firstdefence Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Tip: mention the font you are using, people may not have the font so mentioning it helps them to find the font so they can help you. If you mean the line just follows on from the line below and attached to the "g" just select the move tool (V) and pull the bounding handles to the left until it overlaps, make sure the rectangle is at the top in the layers panel. If you mean the line emulates the lower curve of the "g" then you can either draw a shape with the pen tool, or convert the text to curves, flip the "g" and with the Node Tool delete any nodes not required, adjust remaining node to get the look you need. Alfred Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Move the rectangle so that it overlaps the tail of the ‘g’, add another ‘g’ on top of the original, select the new ‘g’ and the rectangle, and use the ‘Subtract’ command to cut away the unwanted part of the rectangle. Finally, slide the new shape across to the desired position. Guest Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Another method: convert the rectangle into curves, move the lower left node and use the node tool to adjust the curve on the left side of the rectangle to follow the "g" shape if you want to get something like my screenshot. Quote
