Rick G
I just had another instance of the tools ceasing to work I was using the patch tool and at some point, it stopped.. Areas would get selected but that is it. I tried using the selection as source and it was dead also. I tried to add a brightness adjustment and the slides did nothing. I saved it out and upon reloading , everything worked as expected I had several images loaded and without closing the program, the others were fine I have no idea what might have caused it, but this is not the first time. TEcHNOpls
Was it not working or was it not updating the screen? "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
BobMoyer
@Rick G: I,too, have noticed this on a couple of photos (Affinity Photo 1.6.4.104/Windows7). I just closed the project and reopened it and got the functionality of the tools back. However, I lost any changes I had made prior to losing control of the sliders. I did not save the changes as I was not sure if the photo had gotten corrupt or not. Bob Edit: oops, this is not concering the Beta version--sorry. Others that were loaded at the same time were fine. Reloading that JPG and continuing worked just fine Thanks for the response Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

It is in the beta so you should be fine posting here. 1 hour ago, BobMoyer said: @Rick G: I,too, have noticed this on a couple of photos (Affinity Photo 1.6.4.104/Windows7). If you have an open issue for the release you could post the link to the issue in here and this one back to your thread so they can easily follow along with the issue. In a situation where I do not want to overwrite the file but want to keep changes I try to save the file under a 'temporary' file name basically creating a copy of the file. Once everything is up and running again I can go back to both of them and compare if there are differences and sort things out d.
