Multiple Action exposure Outlier blend help

Hi @FarFromSane,

There is nothing "wrong" with the photo. The mode you selected, Outlier—exposes pixel content that differs in each image. So it's working correctly. If you want a cleaner look, you will have to manually mask out the areas. Duplicate the Stack, go to Arrange > Ungroup . Mask out the pixelated areas using masks and selections.

Thanks,

Gabe.

Another option could be to use a focus merge, rather than a live stack group. Import your images into the focus merge and then use the clone brush tool on each layer until you have an output you are happy with. It is only rough, but I have attached a file showing how I would do this to achieve the below effect!

A third option is you can just use the Erase brush on each of the 6 layers in the stack to erase the artefacts.

It's quite logical once you see how one layer is responsible for the artefacts on another layer

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Just gave it a go with 2 pictures with this person in 2 different places. Got some strange transparency behavior. Maybe the pixels are to similar in this particular photo? Or maybe a bug?

Hi GoSmarter :)

Could you please provide a copy of your .afphoto file so we can look into this for you?

Thanks for your file, with only 2 source images this is to be expected. I would recommend that stacking is not the best option for your images and that you'd be better off using a Focus Merge operation, cloning the sections of the image that you want in the final image. You can find out more on Focus Merging in the video below!

Hi @CharlesMenifee7,

Welcome to the forums and my sincerest apologies for the delayed response.

Unfortunately the iPad app doesn't currently support the Sources Studio when Focus Merging, although this is a feature we hope to include in the future :)
