Text frame: columns, connect with each other

Serif, on https://affinity.serif.com/de/designer/ you advertise AD as a complete solution for publicity material (“Werbematerial”) and multi-page print projects, AD has tools for the use of very long text and Serif demonstrates multi-column text in AD:

So it is more than logical to have at least multi-column text features in AD. But will we get them in AD or not, Serif?

Not, it would seem, at least initially. But we have no way of knowing whether this is one of those things like bullets and numbering which will later be copied from APub, or whether it’s like linked text frames which are planned to remain an APub-only feature.

Yes, this is because we asked Serif.

Because Serif advertises AD as a complete solution for publicity material (and because Designer still is not “able to resize them and type content into them and format them, and the text [still cannot] reflow between frames just as it would in Publisher”), AD should have at least multi-column text features in AD.

It is not because we do not have it.

Matt merely said it’s an Affinity Publisher feature. He didn’t say it’s a publicly available feature! ;)
