1.6.5.109 Adjustments start below the visible window

Recommended Posts

New in this beta  Many tools will start a bit off screen. If you move them back to where they belong they will stay there until the program restarts

For me, things like a Curves adjustment layer are approximately centered within the Affinity Photo window in the 1.6.5.109 beta, unless I shrink the window vertically to make it significantly smaller vertically.  In that case, the adjustment layer box appears partly below the Affinity window, but only when the window is relatively high on the screen. If the window is near the bottom of the screen then the adjustment box is, again, within the window.

I don't ever see the box partly off the screen.

Question for you: single monitor, or dual? If dual, what configuration?

Single monitor 1920 X 1080 and this issue only started with this beta. I have not shrunk the window from full screen

Thanks for the reply

Also 1920 x 1080 and on first use I see the same problem.

But, if I "correct" the error, close the program and re-open, the adjustments window now appears correct, everything visible.

Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus.  Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2.

I was definitely NOT getting that but I just tested and it is apparently performing as you stated. I will watch it a bit more

Thanks for the feedback

But now, having just tested this again, the adjustments window lower edge is off the screen!  :S:S  Interestingly though, it is not as "far off" the screen as in your screenshot; I can see ALL the graph but not the buttons below the graph.

And I've just repeated the test, and 100% of the window is visible!!!!!

Thanks Chris.  Good to know it's not a problem being created by my system!

I had a similar question, with dialog boxes appearing totally off-screen in two-screen setup. Issue acknowledged and fix promised. Discussion here.

Meanwhile, simple action from Chris B for off-adjustment panel appearing off-screen:

Call the dialog

  1. Immediately press Alt+Space
  2. Press M
  3. Press an arrow key on the keyboard
  4. Move your mouse around
