Affinity Designer doesn't export any code. It's more comparable to DrawPlus. DrawPlus can actually export some HTML code, but only for things like JavaScript rollovers. Online creators like Wordpress, Joomla and Wix are very popular and perhaps more flexible. They are also free (mostly) with loads of Plug-ins and Extensions, many of which are free too. Affinity Designer works very well with any of those for creating all the graphics and images, especially using tools like force pixel alignment for graphics and slices which work very well when creating images for responsive websites. Another big difference is that DrawPlus has animation features (both stopframe and keyframe) whereas Affinity Designer can’t even create animated GIFs, and I understand that Serif has no plans to add any animation capabilities to AD.
