Stroke Pressure Has No Effect On My Curve

Recommended Posts

I used the Vector Brush Tool to write out some cursive. With the curve selected, I go to the Stroke Width Options and no matter how I change the Pressure, nothing happens to the stroke width. What is going on? I thought that was how I could vary the line thickness?

Hi PaintNut,

It's nothing you're doing wrong. This is a bug I reported a while ago, and it seems to only happen with the vector brush tool. If you use the pen or pencil, changing the pressure should work fine as long as it is the tool that was used to create the stroke. If you convert a brush stroke to a line stroke while it was first created by the vector brush, the pressure still won't change. So for the time being, make sure you use either the pen or pencil to begin with.
