When in export persona I know that you can choose a slice and add as many versions of the same slice to upscale the original for a bigger size even though your slice maybe say 16x16 px.

I was wondering is it possible to do the reverse as well? So if you had a 32x32 px slice can you downscale it as well?

Instead of choosing 1x, 2x, 3x, etc

Try typing in 0.5x, 0.25x, etc

Try .5h or .5w instead.

Just tried this to see if it would work and it didn't :(

It appears to work for me on Windows, are you Windows or Mac?

This way exports the file but then I can't open it as it says unsupported file (I'm using IrfanViewer to view my files but any other image viewer can't open the file either).

I'm running Windows, when I type 0.5 into the dialog box it just goes back to 2x. It's as if it won't let me change it.

Type 0.5x not 0.5

As the tooltip indicates, the value is either a scaling factor or an absolute size. If you type in 0.5 without the x, it’s treated as an (invalid) absolute value.
