Hello everyone !

I have recently started to do some glitch art , and for this i tend to use displacement maps quite often since they blend textures and colors well .

However I noticed that when exporting the results differ quite a bit , in this case the displacement effect seems to be "milder" in the export than in the actual work :

The picture in AP is zoomed in... apparently, to see an accurate representation of what will be exported you need to view it at 100% zoom

Does changing the zoom to 100% match, on screen, what you are seeing in the exported results?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Well I noticed that zooming seems to change the pattern , however it seems kinda random .

Also the problem is really the color since , i would like a strong contrast difference between the face and the effect .

But I have to mention that the patters have some differences as well .

As far as I am aware either the Displacement Filter and or Displacement Map function isn't working correctly. There is a post on here somewhere about it

maybe select the face and add an adjustment layer. exposure adjustment layer set to lighter colour and 77% Opacity.

Maybe I misunderstood what it is, but I thought the problem was with 100% black & 100% white not working as expected to displace anything, while intermediate shades worked OK. Is that right?

There are consistency errors when zooming in and the export not looking the same as the project , the effect of distortion is noticeably weaker .

However i do not think it's because of the colors of the displacement map , not black and white at least since the displacement map i used had all kinds of colors 5af07d0a69d11_Displacementmap.thumb.jpg.75418b41de8d683d7f3b02929491b0dc.jpg
