ahe
I’m working on a big project both on Affinity Photo for the Mac and the iPad, and the project file has very different sizes when saved on the iPad vs when saved on the Mac. In this particular case, the project takes up 500+ MB when saved on the Mac, and only ~370 MB when saved on the iPad. My my only guess is some compression is happening on the iPad (lossless, I hope). What is actually going on here?
Staff Dan C Posted May 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted May 8, 2018 Hi ahe , The difference in file size may be due to saving the file with history on your Mac, and not selecting the option to save the history on your iPad. I have created a 245MB file on my Mac, moved it over to AP iPad and edited a pre-existing live lighting filter, then saved the file again. The size changed from 245.6MB to 245.7MB, which is expected, so currently I'm unable to replicate the reported issue. Could you please (if possible) upload your .afphoto file here and let me know your workflow between your Mac and your iPad, and any work you may do between moving the file to the iPad and saving it.
