AiDon
Hi, I have a set of images that should stitch to this panorama (CS6 Result) but it doesn't seem to pick up the last image as you can see in the screen shot of the Beta process. I am not sure if it is because of the contrast and/or small differences in the last two images as their are pylons sticking out of the water but they are against the water backdrop below the horizon. I have also attached a ZIP of the images for you to see. This happens both in the current Production & Beta. Rick G
The left dock image is too similar to the on on the right. I verified by loading images one at a time. It seems to be discarding that image. It may be WAD as that picture has less data or it may be a bug. I'm not sure that the 1 & 4 images are that similar as the 1 image has a shore background, anyway it is a opportunity for AP to improve as even Hugin, one of the better Panorama apps, does it easily. FootNote: Products that have AutoStitch (like AutoPano) stich it OK … I wonder if Serif PanoramaPlus will work? Given that PanoramaPlus is based on AutoStitch it should work in theory, but in practice there have been a number of reports about the full version of PanoramaPlus doing a poor job where the free Starter Edition worked fine! Staff MEB Posted May 5, 2018 Staff Share Posted May 5, 2018 Hi AiDon, I've seen similar issues when there's too much overlapping. If you don't use the file 83.jpg at all and crop the right part of the 82 a little it should stitch correctly. In any case Affinity Photo should be able to handle this alone. I will log this to be looked at. Rick G 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Your answer it the best and I am filing that in case I run into it in real life Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I had a look at what you suggested but there is 76% overlap between 82/83/84 that rectifies the 11.5 pixel misalignment because of the horizon curve as can be seen in Alignment.jpg. Using Hugin I can get the misalignment down to about 3 pixels as you can see in Alignment Best.jpg. It seems as though Koler Autopano, CS6 and Hugin can handle the cylindrical alignment easily. Hopefully it will help to get AP to handle various difficult scenarios.
