How can I deform text in an irregular form?

Hi cponces,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

There's no vector or pixel based distortion tools in Designer at the moment. If you have Affinity Photo you can use the Mesh Warp Tool to deform the text but it will be rasterised so if you intend this type of work keeping everything editable as vectors there's no way to do it. The Mesh warp/distortion tool is already on Designer's roadmap to be implemented during the 1.x cycle of the app.

Hey @MEB seeing as we are now on 1.9.1.1 can we expect this feature to debut in the early part of a 2.0 cycle?  This has been a looong time coming and is sorely missed.
