Thomas-B
taping "AltGr" + ´ should result in É. This is still not possible on Affinity Designer. Instead I must use decimal code: alt + 0201. Thank you Thomas keyboard-problem with É.pdf
Alfred
AltGr works as expected on my UK English keyboard. It gives me an acute accent on any vowel (capital or lowercase). AlainP
On my French Canadian keyboard, If I configure it to English, then "AltGr + e" displays "é". "AltGr + Shift + e" displays "É". Here is the result I get with " AltGr _+ ' " : ¿ -- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 -- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1 -- Macbook Air 15"

AlainP
Well... I don't know why you would need this but here is how I do it. My keyboard is configured so I can toggle it from French Canadian to English Canadian. When in Fr-Ca mode, AltGr + ' puts an acute accent on any typed vowel, a two steps process. This is on Windows 10. When in Ca-Eng mode, AltGr + ' displays the inverted question mark. I'm sure this behavior changes with keyboard configurations. -- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 -- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1 -- Macbook Air 15"
Alfred
Thanks for the clarification, Alain. AltGr+' doesn’t do anything here, but I can always go to the TypeIt Spanish page on the rare occasions when I want to use inverted question marks or exclamation marks.
