Changing color of BW Sketch in Designer to Match Document Color

Recommended Posts

I am sorry to ask such a simple question, but I cannot figure out for the life of me.  I found a few threads that got me close, but could not make it work.

If you open my example: ExampleforForum.afdesign you will see that I have on the left a black and white sketch (made in Affinity Photo) with text that has the Pantone Color 174C.  When I try to make the sketch drawing the same color--Pantone 174 C, all I get is the entire sketch as a solid block of color.  How do I make the sketch drawing all in Pantone Color 174C?

Thank you.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums. @Clanks. :)

Cover the sketch layer with a rectangle. Fill the rectangle with Pantone 174 C and set the layer’s blend mode to ‘Colour’, ‘Screen’ or ‘Overlay’ (depending on the effect you want).
