Assigned Profile & saving a TIFF without any colour profile

Recommended Posts

I want to resize a TIFF image to use as a target to test existing printer drivers with a new photo paper, prior to creating a printer profile.  The test TIFF image I want to use has no assigned profile, i.e. not sRGB, Adobe 1998 etc.  I wish to resize it in Affinity Photo then export it again as a TIFF image.  As soon as it is loaded, Affinity adds "Assigned Profile (Adobe 1998)....to this unprofiled document".

My question is how can I export it without any colour enhancement being applied?  Thanks for any help.

Affinity Photo (1.7.3.481 & Beta 1.8.0.486); Sketchup

Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit; Ver. 1909 (OS Build 18363.476);

Intel i7-4790, 4 GHz; 16GB; Asus R9 280.

To export a rescaled version of the file with no embedded profile, click the More button in the export dialog to access controls where you can ensure ICC Profile is set to "Use document profile" so no conversion of pixel values occurs, and ensure Embed ICC Profile is disabled.

Thanks owenr, very much appreciated.

I understood the assigned profile was to enable consistent viewing on the monitor and shouldn't change the data, but was not sure what happened when exporting.  Very succinct answer.
