Manu Carrillo
Hi. It is a silly question, but I would like to solve it. Why can not the icon be seen in the link or in the .exe? Any suggestions? Thank you very much in advance.
firstdefence
On windows software icons normally reside within the exe file. Have you tried right-clicking the icon space and selecting Properties. From there you should see a shortcut tab, under Target: it should point to Affinity Designers .exe file. Below that you will see three buttons, you can click on Change Icon... and if Target: is pointing at the exe file it will show you what icons are available. Manu Carrillo
First of all, thanks for your response @firstdefence, but that's the first thing I've done and it does not work. As it seems to me something strange I have written it here if someone helps me. Thanks for your kindness.
Staff Gabe Posted April 27, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 27, 2018 Hi @Manu Carrillo, Welcome to the forums. It's probably just windows clearing the thumbnail cache. It should rebuild itself in the next couple of days. Thanks, Gabe. Manu Carrillo
Manu Carrillo
Hi @GabrielM. Thank you. That is the solution. Delete "IconCache.db" in "C:\Users\xxxxxxxxxx\AppData\Local". In this link, although it is in Spanish and it is for w7, it is perfectly valid for w10. The detailed steps come. Thanks again!!
