It might have been better to continue the discussion in your original thread, but since we're here: if you select the fill of the blue rectangle and delete it to make it transparent, only the ripped part will be visible and you'll be able to place it on top of any other image.

You need to make the grey transparent

Hi, Luccas Greco,

Just about to reply, but will agree w. the 2 previous replies. The chance that you could match the color of the shirt's fabric dye w. a printed transfer are really small.

No need to apologize, we all were once.

Well, maybe not Alfred, he might have been born with a mouse in his hand ;)

LOL. Chance would be a fine thing, as they say! I'm still a noob about lots of stuff.

Crop the file so the main graphic is centre most with minimal borders, then export as a png file (Whole Document) and use that as it will have the transparency.

By the way the resolution isn't super great, if that's going to be printed I doubt it would look it's best blown up on a Tee-Shirt unless its going to be kept quite small, it pixelates  a lot at 300% zoom

Considering what he has said about his approximate age, if this was true, it would almost certainly have been a real mouse (the furry kind) -- the computer mouse was invented in 1964 & its first public showing was in 1968 at the Fall Joint Computer Conference in San Francisco, California by its inventor, Douglas C. Engelbart.

Actually legend has it that Alfred used a flat-bottomed stone as the concept for a mouse way back in the BC, it was called an Ug back then and development stalled due to the meteor hit and the flood, he survived both.

Okay so I got another problem now ): I cant figure out how to adjust the background picture so more of the writing is shown. I cant even remember how i made the top layer transparent lol

Do you really mean the background picture (i.e. the one with the logo on it) rather than the foreground with the see-through bits?

Is the top layer a raster image, or is it a masked vector layer?

Thanks for the screenshot. I can see from the Layers panel that you only have one (pixel) layer: you need to go back to the original logo image and make bigger holes in the layer which covers it.

That's the file which determines how much of the logo is visible. You need to amend it to have more and/or bigger holes so that you can see more of the original logo image (reproduced below) through those holes.

Probably the easiest thing would be to forget about making additional holes. You can stretch the existing holes in the image that Carl provided here: simply place that image on top of your logo image and drag the top or bottom edge to make it squarish instead of oblong.

On the grey background layer use the eraser to remove more of the grey, probably best to change the blender mode to normal so you can see better what you are erasing. Erasing will work better if you have a tablet so you can use pressure to get that shredded look. with tapering lines. If you don't have a tablet you could use the pen tool to make a selection and erase from within the selection.
