WickyTicky
I'm using the Affinity Photo trial version, and every time I edit a RAW file shot in sRGB, RAW+F on a Nikon D3200, and then export it as a JPEG, it warps the center of the image ever so slightly. I've attached a gif of the slight distortion that is going on. When I open the RAW file in Affinity, it also changes the image size from it's original 6016x4000 to 6034x4012. Thoughts? Something I'm doing wrong or missing? Thank you
Staff stokerg Posted April 17, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 17, 2018 Hi WickyTicky and Welcome to the Forums, You are not doing anything wrong. The warping is actually Lens Correction being applied and will happen when you open the image in Develop Persona. You can disable this by opening a RAW file in the Develop Persona and clicking View>Assistant and change the drop down for Lens Correction to 'Take no action'. If you then close and reopen the RAW file, no lens correction will be applied. Also the size is correct, Affinity is opening the full sized RAW file which is 6034x4012 other apps will be cropping that data away. WickyTicky
Thank you very much! This was the problem. I was completely unaware that an Assistant existed. Now I feel confident in purchasing Affinity Photo. Thank you again, stokerg
