Is It possible to apply scale with image in AD for all instances of line widths and layer effects (blurring in particular) after having forgotten to apply them while drawing? Which may come in handy especially when many lines and shapes were drawn.

Hi isocult :)

It certainly is! You can apply this option in the context toolbar with your object selected for line styles:

and in regards to blurring or any other effects, in the Layers > Layer Effects window, you can select this in the bottom left of the dialog:

I hope this helps!

I'm sorry isocult, could you explain what you mean by this? The checkbox in the bottom left hand of the fx window should apply scale with object to all effect properties given to that shape. Or are you referring to all objects in your document?

Hi Dan, I started drawing the Vladimir Putin vector portrait and only in an advanced stage realised that I had been inconsistent in applying Scale with Object to fx Gaussian blurring. Applying Scale with Object to all already drawn strokes works for stroke width afterwards, but not by selecting all fx-ed blurred strokes and shapes once I had already drawn many without applying this feature when the were actually drawn. It is of course possible to edit them one by one afterwards, but I wondered if there is a way to affect them afterwards in one pass.

Firstly, I have to say that you're a very talented artist and I'm rather jealous! :D

Secondly, if you open the fx panel without having anything selected, then select all of your layers, objects and groups in the layers tab, you can apply Scale with Object here and it should apply to any layers that previously did or did not have this selected.

I noticed something; If I apply Scale with Object to a Composite group, it is indicated in the fx panel, but when checking the individual children they're not scaling with Object (at least they are not marked as such). However, if you select all children in that Composite group and then apply Scale with Object, they each in fact have that property applied. This works fine for me - saves a heap of work. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Dan.

No problem at all, I'll take a look into this and double check with our devs if this is working as expected, or if we can fix something. Glad I could help :)
