jackamus
Sometimes when drawing I copy objects many times and get left with a lot of duplicate objects. Is there a way to highlight and remove duplicates? davidaknowles 1 Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools. Staff Gabe Posted April 11, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 11, 2018 Hi @jackamus, I'm afraid there is no delete duplicate function :(
Staff MEB Posted April 11, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 11, 2018 Hi jackamus, There's no automated way to remove them. Better to prevent it from happening in first place. How are you duplicating them? Copying-dragging an object can leave a duplicate if you undo the operation (you have to undo it twice for the duplicate to be removed). I'm not aware of other cases where duplicates can be left inadvertedly. jackamus
Hi MEB, This is exactly what has been happening! Thanks for the advice. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Gear maker
I would love to see AD have a preference to turn off the copy by dragging function. There are already multiple ways to copy so I wouldn't miss it. I find that I know I want to move something without it snapping so I press opt and end up with a copy. When making a very small move it's hard to start the move before pressing opt. At least it's hard to train muscle memory to do that.
