OldytroN
I'm trying to figure out how to apply a vanishing point to a specific object to no avail. I remember being able to do it in Illustrator, but since i'm largely unfamiliar with Designer I haven't stumbled upon that option yet. If someone more experienced in the Affinity ecosystem could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful to you. I'm trying to give the illusion of depth in a uniform way without having to redesign the object in question. Thanks in advance for the support! Staff Callum Posted April 10, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2018 Hi Oldytrom, This isn't possible in Designer just yet It would be possible in Affinity Photo using the Perspective filter however. Thanks Callum OldytroN and Óscar Maverick 2 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
OldytroN
Thank you very much Callum! I also have photo so i'll just fix it in post. Now just a quick question, can it be done with objects/paths or does it have to be rasterized?
Staff MEB Posted April 10, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2018 Hi OldytroN, You can apply the live perspective filter (menu Layer ▸ New Live Filter Layer ▸ Perspective Filter) to paths/shapes and they remain editable inside the app but will be rasterised on export. The live filter is raster based - it doesn't affect/change the geometry of the paths.
