Can White Balance be set to go below 2000k?

Recommended Posts

I'm brand new to Affinity Photo and would like to use it to process infrared images. I have seen the tutorial on producing simulated IR images but am thinking of getting a camera converted for IR use.

I've used a friend's IR converted camera and when I brought the images into Affinity they still had a browny/red tinge to them. The minimum Kelvin temperature on the White Balance slider seemed to be 2000k.

But I understand that it needs to be adustable between about 1200-1800k in order to remove the colour cast. Is it possible to do this in Affinity?

Thanks

Hi johnlc,

Welcome to the forums :)
Unfortunately when developing an image the lowest temperature you can set is 2000K currently. I'd recommend posting on our feature requests section so our developers could consider this option for a future update!

Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.

If you require urgent assistance, please create a new thread and a member of our team will be sure to assist asap.

Many thanks :)

I don't know whether this would help at all but I read a post about white balance below 2000K. HERE he made a small app as well.
