macro enthusiast
Affinity is great. However, there is a problem. Focus merge work bad.For comparison - free soft Combine ZP and Affinity
John Rostron
Which one is which? I would be hard pressed to distinguish between these two? walt.farrell
Based on the file names, the top one is from Affinity and the bottom one from CombineZP. It would be easier to compare, I think, if the .jpg files provided by @macro enthusiasthad the same pixel dimensions and dpi. And, of course, one needs to download the files and compare on one's computer, rather than trusting the forum's thumbnails John Rostron 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Staff Dan C Posted April 9, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 9, 2018 Hi macro enthusiast, Welcome to the forums! As walt.farrell has described, an apples to apples comparison cannot be made as the dimensions and dpi are not consistent between images. Could you possible provide your source images, or a more in depth description of how or why you feel Affinity Photos merge is not working as well/consistently? How would you like to see it improved? Staff Dan C Posted April 10, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2018 Could you please upload your source images to this dropbox link? This way we can test using the same merge: https://www.dropbox.com/request/1NZwTF4OXBQJKTENUDvW 22 hours ago, Dan C said: a more in depth description of how or why you feel Affinity Photos merge is not working as well/consistently?
