Which one is which? I would be hard pressed to distinguish between these two?

Based on the file names, the top one is from Affinity and the bottom one from CombineZP.

It would be easier to compare, I think, if the .jpg files provided by @macro enthusiasthad the same pixel dimensions and dpi. And, of course, one needs to download the files and compare on one's computer, rather than trusting the forum's thumbnails :)

Hi macro enthusiast,

Welcome to the forums!

As walt.farrell has described, an apples to apples comparison cannot be made as the dimensions and dpi are not consistent between images. Could you possible provide your source images, or a more in depth description of how or why you feel Affinity Photos merge is not working as well/consistently? How would you like to see it improved?

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Could you please upload your source images to this dropbox link? This way we can test using the same merge: https://www.dropbox.com/request/1NZwTF4OXBQJKTENUDvW

If you could expand on this at all then we might be able to help more specifically!
