Can someone point me in the right direction for removing the glare/reflection from the plastic lid in this photo?

I tried following the lens flare tutorial but haven't had great results. I.e. applying a frequency separation and trying to use the clone and healing brushes on the low frequency layer.

Any other tips/pointers? It feels like it should be fairly easy given the simplicity of the object and background.

Thanks.

Hi @darrylb,

Welcome to the forums.

In your case, I would really make the photo b/w. That would remove most of the glare. You can play with the colour sliders to get rid of most of the glare. Next, Clone tool and Inpainting tool would help you get rid of all the glare. See below.

Thanks,

Gabe.
